The KeyKeg is a pressurized container similar to an aerosol whipped-cream can or steel beer barrel. Just like any pressurized container, it can cause damage if used incorrectly. Our new universal bar instruction card and the clear instructions on the packaging tell our end users what they can (and can’t) do.
It turns out, however, that people are using empty KeyKegs in more ways than we ever could have expected. KeyKegs are being used as lanterns, Christmas balls, fishing net floats, art objects — even as carnival costumes. For this group of KeyKeg lovers we have developed a paper neck collar which they can attach to the fitting. The collar warns you that the KeyKeg is a pressurized container and shows you how to depressurize the KeyKeg safely.
