KeyKeg has been chosen by the 14 members of the jury as the winner of the Beverage Innovation Award in the category ‘Alternative Packaging'. Acknowledgement of the environmental performance of KeyKeg was apparent too. KeyKeg was thus selected as one of the finalists for the award ‘Best Environmental Initiative' for which there were 340 entries.
Jan Veenendaal, CEO of Lightweight Containers and chairman of the KeyKeg consortium, "We are of course very pleased with both achievements. It's is once again solid proof that with KeyKeg the beverage industry has now a new high-tech, proven technology at their fingertips. KeyKeg will not only improve their business but their environmental performance as well." The Beverage Innovation awards attracted more than 340 entries from 40 countries in 24 categories.
