Miroslav Duchon, export manager for K Brewery in the Czech Republic tells about his company and their reasons for choosing KeyKeg. “We opted for one-way kegs because of their popularity in Russia and Italy. We compared several one-way kegs and went for KeyKeg,” Miroslav says. “Actually, we first started exporting beer in KeyKegs to China. It’s a new market for us which KeyKeg has brought within reach. Our partners there are very happy with the one-way keg and it strengthens our relationship with distributors.” We asked him about other advantages. “We calculated that, certainly for longer distances, it really is cheaper for us. In local markets we can use existing steel kegs even more efficiently now. We did not calculate the costs for return transport of steel kegs though, because these are paid by our distributors. For Russia it’s interesting to note that using the KeyKeg substantially reduces border and tax issues for our partners.”
